Mk4-Mk7 VW alternator rebuild kit Basic kit includes USA regulator, OEM bearings, and slip rings, Pulleys and rectifiers are available extra. Note, some Mk4 cars used Hitachi alternators. We do not have rebuild kits available for those at this time. Note: for the past many years I have offered these rebuild kits we have taken pride in only using OEM Bosch and Valeo parts for the rebuilds, unfortunately Bosch regulators and rectifiers for these are now made in China and we have had several of them fail on us. We had to switch to a top quality aftermarket regulator and rectifier from one of the leading manufacturers in the world. They are most often made in Japan or Taiwan, and we have had none of them fail after switching.
